The Principal Technical Course Developer position facilitates the design and delivery of role-based self-paced, web-based, virtual, blended, and instructor led courseware for ACI’s strategic products and processes. Fosters a collaborative working environment with the Technical Training Instructor and cross-functional subject matter experts to create new high-technology, in-depth course designs and course modules. Maintains existing course modules and analysis of new modules needed to meet business requirements. Leads other instructional design resource within the department on large, multifaceted curriculum deliverables. Designs hands-on learner labs and exercises along with supporting technology requirements to demonstrate student comprehension of course objectives. Uses data from a variety of sources to analyze needs and propose sound high-technology, in-depth training solutions. Uses industry knowledge, and self-directed research to maintain awareness of learning industry trends, and recommends innovative tactics to deliver the team’s objectives. Leads group to identify training gaps within the target skillset. Acts as an extension of Learning Services leadership in the participation of special strategic assignments as needed. Participates in delivery methodology discussions and decisions. Evaluates effectiveness of high-technology learning programs. Reviews department training programs for effectiveness and recommends future actions to improve and increase training content quality, effectiveness, presentation, and audience adoption. Oversees projects for the training staff. Responsible for team development assignments and programs as needed.

Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security.
Oversees projects for the training staff and ensure that business requirements are clear, learning competencies are defined, updates are provided and deadlines are met.
Facilitates the design and delivery of high-technology, in-depth training programs which may be self-paced, web-based, virtual, blended, and/or in-person instructor led courses related to content with input from subject matter experts.
Develops Subject-Matter-Expert-level knowledge on assigned content of multiple ACI products and acts as a SME within Learning Services and across ACI.
Quantitatively evaluates effectiveness of eLearning programs and their alignment with the corporate vision, mission and values, as well as role-based curriculum plans.
Works with leaders across departments to analyze internal training requirements, designs and scripts training for SME to conduct and/or record.
Builds and enforces best practice standards for all learning modules.
Conducts feedback on all courses conducted, conducts user experience round tables to gather information for future requirements for products, will anticipate and defend customer needs for training.
Communicates with course participants after courses to identify future needs.
Publishes online course modules.
Creates comprehensive role-based, high-technology curriculum plans and project plans required to deliver them.
Manages curriculum design assignments and directs team contributors to ensure all training deliverables and timelines are met within the assigned curriculum plan.
Provides motivation, coaching, mentoring and leadership to fellow team members. Acts as the onboarding mentor for new team members and is responsible for recommending and leading team member development programs as assigned.
Represents the team in pre-sales activities as needed to ensure proper quoting and scoping of Learning Services in customer-facing contract language.
Aids in the definition and implementation of departmental methodologies within Learning Services and in collaboration with other departments to ensure successful deployment and adoption of Learning Services policies and procedures.
Collaborates with Learning Services leadership and represents LS leadership objectives on special projects as assigned.
Proactively identifies gaps and opportunities and advises Learning Services Leadership.
Develops and demonstrates deep ACI product knowledge on assigned content and acts as a department SME on multiple ACI products.
Creates a network of ACI contacts as key stakeholders and contributors, and exercises relationships to enable Learning Services goal attainment.
Performs self-assessment of skills and proactively dialogs with Learning Services leadership on goals and self-development objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned.

• Internal contacts include Business Analysts, Product Managers, Developers, Architects, Customer Support, Information Development, QA, etc.

External contacts include customers, prospect, third party software provider and vendors, etc..

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or equivalent experience required.
Experience in a high-technology environment, including operating systems such as Windows and Linux, and databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, is preferred.
Knowledge of HTML and user experience design is preferred.
7-8 years’ experience in design, development, implementation and assessment of in-depth, high-technology course development and training delivery.
Project planning, team project leadership, and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technology course design on time.
Experience writing content for both classroom and interactive web applications such as eLearning.
Thorough knowledge of the Captivate and Articulate software packages is preferred.
Understanding of Adult Learning Theory and the facilitation of adult learning in a high-technology environment encompassing multiple delivery and facilitation formats.
Written and verbal English language fluency.
