Summary:

This analyst engages cross-functionally with senior business leaders, Finance, and Human Resources to perform a wide variety of activities to drive and support ACI’s compensation programs.  In addition to general global compensation project and program support, this role will focus on global incentive and executive compensation programs.  The primary responsibility for the analyst will be in the design, development, implementation and administration of ACI’s global sales incentive and short-term management incentive plans and programs.  In addition, the analyst will assist with the development, design, and execution of executive compensation programs such long-term incentive and other equity related programs.  In addition to these responsibilities, the analyst will be responsible for supporting an ACI business unit by providing ongoing consultative services.


Responsibilities:
  • Acts as an incentive compensation subject matter expert.  Primary emphasis on sales incentive and short-term and long-term incentive programs.
  • Works closely with sales, sales operations, HR and Finance to develop sales incentive programs, processes, governance, and related activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the creation, education and distribution of the sales and executive compensation incentive plans annually.
  • Acts as an executive compensation subject matter expert. Provides expertise on global executive compensation programs including short- and long-term incentive plans, financial and tax treatment of compensation programs, and CD&A and proxy analysis.
  • Develops communication materials and supporting analysis for presentations to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors and senior executives.
  • Responsible for the documentation and administration of all executive equity and incentive compensation programs.  This includes creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and PowerPoint presentations
  • Responsible for the analysis, evaluation, and classification of new and existing positions, utilizing global external/internal executive market data to help make appropriate recommendations as required.
  • Provides guidance and collaborates with global partners on the implementation and maintenance of global compensation systems and programs. 
  • Partners with HR and management in the development of job descriptions.  Works with global HR partners and management to help ensure consistent titling and leveling of jobs.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements to existing compensation processes and procedures for establishing targets and reporting results.
  • Manages annual processes for executives including merit, bonus and long-term incentive recommendations.
  • Works on significant and unique projects and exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Keeps abreast of trends and changes in Human Resources metrics and analytics practices; proactively suggests applicable metrics to measure impact of HR organization.
  • Conducts Human Resource predictive analytics, data analysis and interpretation of trends to support proactive compensation planning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in an analytical position (i.e. compensation professional, financial analyst, etc.).
  • 15+ years’ general compensation experience
  • 8-10 years’ incentive compensation experience
  • 2+ years’ executive compensation experience
  • Experience designing and implementing global compensation programs for a publicly traded company. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Advanced Excel skills (including formulas, v-lookups, pivot tables) and proficiency with Word and Power Point applications.  Experience with HRIS databases with the ability to quickly adapt to learn new systems.
 

Preferred Skills:

  • Subject matter expertise in executive compensation practices including: compensation/bonus/incentive programs, policy design/implementation, job analysis, market analysis, labor market trends, and analytical tools.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented and confident to work independently while performing as a strong team player with demonstrated competency in process management, analysis, decision making, and cultural awareness.
  • Self-starter with excellent project management skills including the ability to work effectively on multiple projects in a dynamic environment, document and communicate project plans, monitor progress and achieve milestones.
