As a Director of Compliance and Data Privacy in Waltham, MA (Greater Boston, MA area) or Naples, FL you can help make possibilities happen.


The Director of Compliance & Data Privacy will lead the organization’s Compliance and Data Privacy programs, & will work with internal business operations and technology partners, as well as third party vendors, to identify compliance risks within the governing laws, rules and regulations. This role will work across the enterprise to lead a full range of the company’s compliance and privacy framework and oversite of execution.  This includes corporate compliance policy, second line of defense compliance governance, identification and interpretation of regulatory expectations, ACI data protection, and privacy event management (including privacy obligations).

  • Develops, implements, and manage Compliance Programs, including global privacy and data protection (including PCI, GDPR, & HIPAA).
  • Serves as the Company’s subject matter expert on compliance matters, including global privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
  • Prepares and assists with presenting clear, accurate and timely reports on privacy and data protection risks, risk mitigation measures and compliance activities to key stakeholders, senior management and the Board of Directors/Risk Committee.
  • Provides leadership and strategic guidance to Departments/Business Units in the design and evaluation of privacy and data protection related tools and projects.
  • Collaborates with Information Security to ensure alignment between Cyber Security and Privacy and Data Protection practices. Oversees conduct of data protection impact assessments and provides support such assessments.
  • In coordination with senior counsel, serves as a liaison to regulatory and data protection authorities for matters relating to compliance, privacy, and data protection.
  • Participates in client meetings, sponsor audits and regulatory inspections for questions related to compliance matters, including privacy and data protection matters.
  • Develops, and reviews annually, supporting compliance and Privacy policies, standards and procedures.
  • Reviews and provides annual Compliance and Privacy course material (internal Learning Management System tool).
  • Partners with Legal on interpretation and applicability of laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Provides guidance across the enterprise on new product, service, or third-party vendor implementation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Understand, adhere to and enforce all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security. 

Minimum Requirements:

Preferred Skills:

  • Juris Doctor or Master’s degree in related field highly desired.
  • Preferred Certifications: CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, CRCM.
  • Knowledge of related federal and state laws, rules and regulations, e.g. PCI, GLBA, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and clearly articulate them to a broad audience.
  • Excellent relationship building skills - ability to consider multiple viewpoints.
  • Solid Presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker -- process oriented.
  • Experience in performing data protection and privacy assessments against the relevant regulations.
  • Assess the impact of current/emerging data protection and privacy regulations on the organization.
  • Experience in developing a compliance program.
