Plans computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.




Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security.

Participates in the analysis and definitions of technical standards related to database resources. Analyze and design functions for new and existing systems. Assist with performance and optimization analysis and design. Participates in quality audits.

Adheres to policies and procedures for ensuring the security, availability and integrity of the company databases and large data warehouse database environments. Ensures sound data models supporting application requirements.

Responsible for providing day-to-day support and on-going maintenance for the Oracle database. Ensure that all project configurations and procedures are documented.

Implements extraction and purge procedures, database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to work under pressure, manage escalations effectively.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent experience
2 years database administration experience.
On call and afterhours may be required.
Experience working with multiple operating systems.
Experience monitoring and auditing procedures of databases.
Experience with database security administration, disaster recovery planning, systems performance monitoring and tuning.
